The NSB RED Battery® provides long life in the 20⁰-35⁰C (68⁰-95⁰F) range. This means huge potential cost savings, due to reduced battery replacement and maintenance. Conventional lead acid batteries use lead alloys with additives which increase the strength so they can withstand handling during the battery making process. The downside of using these alloys and additives is that the batteries suffer from faster corrosion and component aging.

Our advanced manufacturing process eliminates the need for alloys and additives – our AGM thin plate pure lead technology delivers larger and thinner plates, which means more surface area for active material reactions, which increases power density.

PSOC compatible

What is a PSOC battery?

PSOC stands for Partial State of Charge. Most standard batteries are not PSOC compatible and require a full recharge after each discharge to achieve long life. Performing a full recharge of a battery takes a significant amount of time. A PSOC compatible battery does not require a full recharge every cycle and is therefore much faster and easier to recharge. NorthStar Cyclic Batteries are true PSOC compatible batteries. Frequent discharge and recharging will quickly kill standard batteries, but NorthStar Cyclic Batteries will deliver exceptional performance in this type of application, thanks to their PSOC compatibility.
